Criftins Football Club

23rd August 2018
Criftins Parish Hall Committee and Dudleston Heath Football Club have jointly expressed great disappointment that for the first time in many decades there would be not be a football team based at the Hall during the forthcoming Season.
Having experienced problems in recent Seasons with recruiting enough players to maintain the team, the loss of a significant number of its past players to other teams has left the Club without the ability to field a team in a local league this Season.
The Committee and Representatives of the Football Club, meeting together, have agreed that they are both committed to seeing a return of regular Football to the Hall in the near future and working together towards ensuring that the facilities provided at the site are enhanced to attract new players to join the Club and form the basis for a new team.
Speaking after the meeting Committee Chairman Ian Ward said “The operation of the Parish Hall has undergone a major overhaul during the past nine months and, thanks to a lot of hard work by local Volunteers, it is once again building a reputation as one the best venues in the area for events, functions and sporting activities. The Committee is committed to meeting the requirements of its Charitable objectives and improving the facilities and opportunities for all to participate in sporting and leisure activities at the Hall. Dudleston Heath Football Club has been an important long term core part of the Hall’s activities and we will be working together to develop a way forward.”
If there are any local companies that would like to become involved with sponsorship for the Club to improve the facilities and to rebuild the team, the Committee and Club would be very pleased to hear from them.
